What PeptiDex is
PeptiDex is a reference library of 79 research-compound entries across 10 categories. Every entry is built to the same shape: what the compound is, its specification table, the mechanism described in the literature, what it is studied for, amounts reported in research, and — where the literature exists — the primary sources those statements rest on.
It is a reference, not a storefront and not a forum. PeptiDex sells nothing, hosts no user reviews, publishes no star ratings, and runs no comment threads. There is nothing on this site for a supplier to buy.
Who compiles it
PeptiDex is built, written, and maintained by Clayton Camera, independently. Entries are compiled from published literature and public supplier documentation.
He is not a physician, a pharmacologist, a pharmacist, or a laboratory researcher, and PeptiDex does not present itself as written by one. There is no medical reviewer, no editorial board, no institutional affiliation, and no clinical oversight behind this site.
That is stated plainly because the alternative is worse. A page that implies expertise it does not have is not a stronger page — it is a page whose central claim is false, and on a health-adjacent subject that is the one failure that actually matters. If you need someone with credentials to weigh in on a compound listed here, this site is not that, and it will not pretend to be.
What stands in for credentials
Not a title. A method, and one you can check:
- Nothing is guessed. Where a value is not established, the entry says nothing rather than filling the gap. 36 of 79 entries state no half-life; 19 state no molecular weight; 32 state no sequence. Those are blanks we chose to leave. The editorial policy explains the rule in full.
- Claims carry sources. 157 primary references across 68 compounds, each one checked against its PubMed record on 2026-07-28.
- Absence of evidence is reported as such. For 9 entries we searched and found no indexed literature specific to that compound, and the page says exactly that instead of borrowing a citation about a neighbouring molecule.
- Every entry is framed for research and educational use only. No dosing guidance, no human-use instructions, no therapeutic claims.
How PeptiDex is funded, and what that should mean to you
PeptiDex earns affiliate commission on qualifying purchases made through its outbound links to Practically Natty Peptides. That is the site's revenue model. It costs you nothing extra, and it means PeptiDex has a direct financial interest in you clicking those links. Read every supplier mention here with that in mind — including this one.
The check on that incentive is visible in the data rather than in a promise: 33 of the 79 entries have no supplier link at all. They exist because the compound belongs in a reference library, not because there was anything to sell against them. An affiliate catalogue wearing a reference library's clothes would not carry them.
