Cagrilintide Reconstitution Calculator

A long-acting amylin analog studied alongside GLP-1 agonists in metabolic-research contexts. This page works out concentration, volume per measured amount, syringe units and preparations per vial for a reconstituted Cagrilintide preparation, plus the mass-to-molar conversions for its stated molecular weight. Everything runs in your browser; plan entries stay in this browser, with optional device-local saving and calendar export.

Syringe capacity

Whole administrations exclude dead space, handling losses and expiry. A calculated quantity is not a guarantee of usable supply. No rounding to a nearby syringe mark is performed.

Protocol schedule

Schedule an existing prescribed or approved protocol. This tool cannot determine how often you can safely take a peptide. Frequency, dose, reconstitution, storage and discard instructions must come from the product label and your clinician or pharmacist.

Calculations stay in this browser. Saving is optional and device-local. Calendar export creates a file; import it into your calendar and configure reminders there. PeptiDex does not send notifications.

A separate worked example, step by step

This separate arithmetic example uses a 5 mg vial, 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, and a 250 mcg target amount. They are not a property of Cagrilintide and not an amount anyone should draw — these figures only illustrate the arithmetic.

  1. Concentration. 5 mg ÷ 2 mL = 2.5 mg/mL (2,500 mcg/mL), which for Cagrilintide is approximately 0.6701 mM at its stated molecular weight.
  2. Per syringe unit. A U-100 syringe divides 1 mL into 100 units, so one unit holds 2,500 mcg ÷ 100 = 25 mcg.
  3. Volume for the 250 mcg target. 250 mcg ÷ 2,500 mcg/mL = 0.1 mL, or 10 units on that syringe.
  4. Preparations per vial. 5,000 mcg ÷ 250 mcg = 20 preparations.

Mass and molar equivalents for Cagrilintide

Derived from the molecular weight recorded on the Cagrilintide entry: ~3731 g/mol — the entry states this as an approximate figure, so the equivalents below are approximate too. Concentration in molar units is what an in-vitro protocol is usually specified in.

Mass to molar conversions for Cagrilintide at its stated molecular weight.
QuantityMolar equivalent
1 mg of Cagrilintide268 nmol (0.268 µmol)
1 mcg of Cagrilintide0.268 nmol
A 1 mg/mL solution0.268 mM (268 µM)

Molar amount = mass ÷ molecular weight. Figures are shown to four significant digits and are a unit conversion, not a measurement.

Reconstitution recorded for Cagrilintide

Lyophilized powder typically reconstituted with bacteriostatic water; refrigerate and protect from light after reconstitution.

Handling questions for Cagrilintide

What documentation should be expected for research-grade cagrilintide?

A third-party COA with HPLC purity (commonly greater than or equal to 98%) and mass-spec identity confirmation is the standard reference. Lyophilized cagrilintide is stored cold and reconstituted with bacteriostatic water for research handling, avoiding light exposure and freeze-thaw cycles.
