PE-22-28 Reconstitution Calculator
A synthetic peptide analog of spadin referenced in mood and neuroplasticity research. This page works out concentration, volume per measured amount, syringe units and preparations per vial for a reconstituted PE-22-28 preparation, plus the mass-to-molar conversions for its stated molecular weight. Everything runs in your browser; plan entries stay in this browser, with optional device-local saving and calendar export.

Syringe capacity
Whole administrations exclude dead space, handling losses and expiry. A calculated quantity is not a guarantee of usable supply. No rounding to a nearby syringe mark is performed.
Protocol schedule
Schedule an existing prescribed or approved protocol. This tool cannot determine how often you can safely take a peptide. Frequency, dose, reconstitution, storage and discard instructions must come from the product label and your clinician or pharmacist.
04 / Your calendar
Complete your calculation and timing to build a schedule.
Calculations stay in this browser. Saving is optional and device-local. Calendar export creates a file; import it into your calendar and configure reminders there. PeptiDex does not send notifications.

A separate worked example, step by step
This separate arithmetic example uses a 5 mg vial, 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, and a 250 mcg target amount. They are not a property of PE-22-28 and not an amount anyone should draw — these figures only illustrate the arithmetic.
- Concentration. 5 mg ÷ 2 mL = 2.5 mg/mL (2,500 mcg/mL), which for PE-22-28 is approximately 3.23 mM at its stated molecular weight.
- Per syringe unit. A U-100 syringe divides 1 mL into 100 units, so one unit holds 2,500 mcg ÷ 100 = 25 mcg.
- Volume for the 250 mcg target. 250 mcg ÷ 2,500 mcg/mL = 0.1 mL, or 10 units on that syringe.
- Preparations per vial. 5,000 mcg ÷ 250 mcg = 20 preparations.

Mass and molar equivalents for PE-22-28
Derived from the molecular weight recorded on the PE-22-28 entry: 773.9 g/mol. Concentration in molar units is what an in-vitro protocol is usually specified in.
| Quantity | Molar equivalent |
|---|---|
| 1 mg of PE-22-28 | 1,292 nmol (1.292 µmol) |
| 1 mcg of PE-22-28 | 1.292 nmol |
| A 1 mg/mL solution | 1.292 mM (1,292 µM) |
Molar amount = mass ÷ molecular weight. Figures are shown to four significant digits and are a unit conversion, not a measurement.

Handling questions for PE-22-28
How does PE-22-28 relate to spadin?
Spadin is a fragment derived from the propeptide of the sorting receptor sortilin, and PE-22-28 is a shortened, optimized fragment of it. Research describes PE-22-28 as among the smallest spadin fragments that retains TREK-1 inhibitory activity, with improved stability over the parent peptide.
