Research Grade vs Pharmaceutical Grade

The categorical distinction between research-use peptides and pharmaceutical-grade material, and why it matters.

For research and educational purposes only. This page is not medical advice. No dosing or human-use instructions are provided.

Two distinct categories

Research-grade peptides are manufactured for in-vitro laboratory study and are not FDA-approved drug products. Pharmaceutical-grade material is produced under cGMP for approved therapeutic use and is subject to a different regulatory regime, including identity, stability, and labeling requirements.

Why the distinction matters

Research-use peptides should not be considered substitutes for approved medicines, and pharmaceutical-grade products are not interchangeable with research-use material. Researchers source the category appropriate to their study.
